PETERBOROUGH COMPLETES BINGO HAT-TRICK
16/08/2007The Gala club on Westfield Road, Peterborough, made its third big bingo winner in a matter of weeks recently.
Following back-to-back national jackpot wins of £25,000 on July 24th and 25th, a further success saw a member of the club share in the £100,000 prize.
However, four other players nationwide also reached their full house in the same number of calls, for a sum of £20,000 each.
The 65-year-old winner revealed that he has also had a number of other reasons to celebrate in the past few months.
"I retired in June, then went to Las Vegas to get married, and now I've won the bingo," he told game operator National Bingo.
Peterborough recently ranked ninth in National Bingo's survey of the luckiest towns, with Scottish city Glasgow topping the table and other northern towns also performing strongly.
