EARLY BINGO LUCK STRIKES AGAIN
21/08/2007Just three months after turning 18, one lucky bingoer from Havant had reason to celebrate taking up the national game.
On her first day of participating, the newcomer to the game claimed a £330 prize, reports National Bingo.
But the operating body adds that she went on to scoop the £50,000 national jackpot three months later.
"I cried when I was told I had won and was shaking with shock," the winner told National Bingo.
"The first thing I said was 'I've got to phone my mum'."
Her success on Saturday, August 11th, came on the £100,000 jackpot contest, but the money was shared with a Merseyside player who also hit bingo on the 42nd call.
Newcomers to the game in Bolton and Bognor Regis took £25,000 and £10,000 respectively recently, with the larger of the prizes coming just six days after the winner joined the club.
