DISBELIEF FROM HUSBAND AT JACKPOT SUM
22/08/2007

A 48-year-old bingoer from Harlow found she needed written proof of a £50,000 jackpot win before her husband would accept she was telling the truth.

Luckily she had been provided with a claim form - which she had to show to him to prove she was not lying.

"I usually say I haven't won, or just a small amount like £30 or £100," she explained to game operator National Bingo.

"I had to show him a copy of the claims form to convince him - my best win before this was £400."

The lucky winner added that she hopes to jet off to the sun with the winnings as the family has not had a holiday for a number of years.

A previous winner at the Mecca Bingo club in Harlow claimed £200,000 on March 25th, according to National Bingo figures.
