NO REACTION FOR SIX FIGURE BINGO WINNER
28/08/2007A bakery shop manager from St Helens became the latest winner of the £100,000 national bingo jackpot on Sunday, August 19th.
But she was slow to celebrate - due to being in a state of shock, the lucky winner revealed.
"I barely reacted when I was told I had won, probably because I couldn't believe it," she told game operator National Bingo.
"That kind of thing just doesn't happen to me," the 48-year-old added.
In addition to the £100,000 jackpot, she also claimed the house prize of £425 - nearly £10 for each of the 43 balls drawn in order to complete her full house.
A further bingo winner was in shock recently after scooping £50,000 - and revealed that when she phoned her husband to tell him the good news "he just carried on watching his football".
