The national jackpot of £100,000 has twice been claimed by members of the Gala Bingo club in Cardiff recently.

And what's more, the wins both occurred within the space of a week, according to National Bingo.

The first prize was scooped by a group of nurses led by 41-year-old Joan Jackson on a night out on August 18th.

A 38-year-old mother of one took the latest sum, which she says will help clear her mortgage.

"My mum and I just cried when we realised how much I had won and I felt like jelly," she told the operating body.

"I can now buy the expensive bathroom tiles I had wanted but couldn't afford."

The wins add to more than £1 million already scooped by Cardiff players at the Gala Bingo venue and the nearby Castle club.
