GOLDEN WEDDING BINGO GIFT FROM DEAD HUSBAND
10/09/2007For Mavis Silver, who was widowed seven years ago, her August 31st golden wedding anniversary brought a surprise bingo gift.
And the lucky winner suggests that her husband might have helped her along the way.
"It would have been our golden wedding anniversary on 31st August and I am sure he sent this to me," she tells game operator National Bingo.
"He never played bingo in his life but he knew how much I loved it."
She adds that her surviving family members are "marvellous" and "overjoyed" about the £25,000 prize.
Ms Silver explains that she has "worked hard" in her life with a 23-year appointment as a cleaner in a retail chain.
A 61-year-old shop assistant in Elgin could also be due for a rest as she told National Bingo she plans to spend a £10,000 jackpot on a holiday with her husband.
