BINGO WINNER STRUCK NUMB AND DUMB
01/10/2007

Following a six-figure success on the national game, a 74-year-old Kirkcaldy pensioner told National Bingo of her surprise.

She revealed that while those around her were thrilled with her success, she herself was left speechless and senseless.

"I sat there not speaking, I was so shocked," she explained to the game's operating body.

"Everybody in the club was pleased for me but I didn't feel anything - I was numb."

Among the 500 clubs competing in the national game, her total of 41 balls was the fewest for any player to complete a full house.

This secured the £100,000 jackpot in addition to the regular £200 house prize at the Glenrothes Gala Bingo club.

Earlier in the year, another member of the club claimed a £50,000 national jackpot on May 15th, National Bingo figures reveal.
