NO WASTAGE OF BINGO BOOTY
15/10/2007

National Bingo reports that one holidaymaker saw her birthday come early in Weston-super-Mare recently.

She left £20,000 richer after completing her full house in 43 calls - the fewest balls to be drawn nationwide.

"I'm afraid to think about it until I have the cheque in my hand, but what I can say is it won't be wasted and we will enjoy every minute of it," she told the game's operating body.

The victory comes two weeks ahead of the woman's 74th birthday, National Bingo adds.

UK Bingo has proved successful on a number of previous occasions for fans playing away from home.

In July, a 68-year-old man scooped more than £50,000 after making a 160-mile round trip from Derby to his favourite venue, the North Parade club in Skegness.
