The £50,000 national bingo jackpot was scooped by a 28-year-old woman at the Windmill Centre, Widnes, the game's operating body reveals.
And she tells National Bingo that the surprise was "very nice" when the total prize money was announced.
"It was a shock when they announced how much I had won, but a very nice shock," she explains.
She adds that she is to keep the money in the bank until she and her partner find a bigger house to move into.
The win follows a six-year participation in the game during which she has played bingo two to three times a month.
Her previous win was £2,400 - also on a link game - the winner tells National UK Bingo.
In May, a member of the Widnes Gala Bingo club claimed the £100,000 national jackpot - the fourth time it has gone to the venue since 2005.
