BINGO JACKPOT PROMISES BRIGHT CHRISTMAS
30/10/2007A 33-year-old mother of three from Yelverton claimed the national bingo prize of £80,000 after completing her full house in 40 calls.
The victory follows six years of absence from the Mecca Bingo club in Devonport, she reveals to National Bingo.
"We're still getting over the shock so we haven't decided exactly what we're going to do with the money," the winner informs the game's operating body.
"But a family trip to Euro Disney is a possibility - and we're definitely going to have a great Christmas."
Despite being members of a different club for six years - since moving house - the victory came at her old Devonport Mecca Bingo hall.
And the winner explains that she and her husband only went there because they were late for the start of the session at their usual venue.
More than three million Britons play bingo twice a week or more, according to National Bingo figures.
