MONEY WORRIES OVER FOR BINGO WINNER
20/11/2007

The national jackpot of £90,000 could prove helpful not just for the lucky winner of the bingo prize, but for her family too.

For the victor, 63-year-old Bernie Jones, tells National Bingo that money troubles are now solved for her whole family.

"We still have worries as our daughter's partner is ill in hospital, but all our financial worries are now over," she explains.

"We won't squander the money but it will certainly be very useful."

The good news follows a "terrible few years" for the family, with Ms Jones and her husband both suffering poor health.

But with the full house coming on 38 calls, their fortunes may have changed for the better.

Each year in October, more assistance is given to the unwell with a special week-long fundraiser for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Since the 2003 launch of the initiative, more than £2.25 million has been raised for the charity by bingo fans.
