22,500 BINGO REASONS TO BE JOLLY
20/11/2007Following a £22,500 national bingo jackpot success, most players might already be jolly.
But for one recent winner of the prize, it's a case of Jolley by name, jolly by nature, reports National UK Bingo.
Debbie Jolley, a 22-year-old bingo player from Wigan, scooped the cash after completing her full house in 47 calls.
"My mum was talking to a friend on the other side of the club when it was announced, so she came running over to me and gave me a big hug," Ms Jolley reveals.
And she was not the only north-west player to be lucky on the day, as the £45,000 prize was also shared by a Manchester bingoer.
More than £400,000 has now been won by members of the Gala Bingo club in Wigan, according to figures from the game's operating body.
