BINGO ON THE GO?

A US company has just announced the development of online bingo for mobile devices such as phones and personal digital assistants.

 

World Entertainment announced today that testing has begun of several online bingo related mobile media services.

 

The services being tested include: alerts and sweepstakes (chances to win daily and monthly prizes and cash); a daily "Fortune Cookie" (see how lucky you are each day, advice for when you're at your wits' end, humour, etc.); and a chat service (meet new friends, find where the best payouts are, etc).

 

"Mobile is the next big idea in the bingo market," says Louis Dion, president and founder of World Entertainment.

 

"Bingo is the most popular game with the largest customer base in North America. There are millions of people who go to bingo halls, play bingo online, or buy bingo-style lottery tickets every day."

 

With the Brits combined love of online bingo and mobile phones it can't be long before similar services make their way to this side of the Atlantic. We can't wait!
