FIRST OF MANY BINGO WINNERS FOR NEW CLUB
19/12/2007The UK bingo jackpot on December 8th was £80,000 and was shared equally between the two players to hit a full house on the same ball.
For one of the pair, a 74-year-old Birmingham bingoer, the win represented the first big prize to be scooped at her local club.
The Kitts Green BJ's venue opened four months ago, reports game operator National Bingo.
Deputy manager Nick Ralph anticipates strong success in the future, telling the organisation: "She is our first national game success.
"But having only been open a very short time, I am sure we are going to be a lucky club."
While the latest win is the first for the venue, Birmingham players have already claimed more than £230,000 at the city's Gala Bingo club, figures from the game operator reveal.
