BIG WIN COMES AFTER 30 YEARS
05/02/2008One long-term fan of the popular ball game recently scooped a £95,000 UK bingo jackpot, reports the game's operating body.
The win ended a 30-year wait to claim a big prize - and still came as a surprise, she tells National Bingo.
"Never in my life did I expect anything like this," she explains.
"After I shouted, the manager came over to me and said: 'If I tell you how much you've won, you won't have a heart attack will you?'"
The £95,000 UK bingo jackpot win came at the Mecca Bingo club in Wood Green and comprised the house prize of £69, regional sum of £1,066, national pot of £7,220 and the platinum progressive jackpot of £86,683.
Her win was eclipsed by a previous victory at the same venue which saw the £200,000 national jackpot claimed in May.
