But with the total presented to players over the course of the day reaching £248,946.94, there may still be a few members with reason to smile.
Chief among these is ferriman34 who topped the table of biggest winners on the day with individual earnings of £42,144.78 - more than a sixth of the overall total.
Second on the list, luckyirishgirl1 lived up to her name with some £10,378.05 added to her bank balance.
Coincidentally, the only other person to reach five figures was also named after the Emerald Isle, as irishgal scooped £10,207.50.
With more than £1,500 in prizes up for grabs over the coming weekend, members of the UK bingo site are told to look out for the weekly newsletter for details, due to be published on Thursday.
