BINGO WIN MAKES CLUB JUMP
13/02/2008

While the shock of a UK bingo jackpot win is enough to make many people jump, often they are the only one affected.

But that was not the case when a 67-year-old Drumchapel woman scooped more than £20,000 not long ago, National Bingo explains.

Instead, the entire Clydebank Gala Bingo club responded to the news in ebullient fashion.

General manager Ross McClung tells the game's operating body: "The whole club jumped up and started clapping but the woman didn't realise at first how much she had won.

"She had difficulty playing the late session afterwards."

Blackpool players were also given reason to party as a member of one of the town's venues shared in the £38,830 prize pool for the game, along with claiming the regional and club-level funds.

Meanwhile, a player at the Rotherham Gala Bingo club recently secured the UK bingo jackpot after 30 years of playing the game, National Bingo reports.
