COLCHESTER MAN IN SHOCK AFTER BINGO WIN
18/02/2008The unnamed lucky winner, who has been playing bingo for the past eight years, claimed his surprise after taking home almost £39,000 and is as yet undecided what he will do with his prize.
According to National Bingo, the 26-year-old healthcare worker won the majority of his prize through the game it runs around the country, while additional sums from the regional and house games made up the £39,000 total.
The man explained that he was totally taken aback by his win because his biggest previous prize had come via a rainbow ticket and had only been worth around £500.
"I still need to let it sink in and then I can think about what to do with the money but I think I'll probably be saving most of it," he said.
Meanwhile, a bingo player from Clydebank in Scotland has been celebrating recently when she scooped almost £20,000 at her local bingo hall.
