15/11/2005

Bingo Scotland, the first regional online bingo website announced today that they have registered over 1,700 Scottish online bingo players since they launched their site one month ago and those players have shared £300,000 in winnings.

Amazingly enough, 80% of these players have already experienced a win of some kind with the average jackpot ranging from £30 to £80. Consistent with the rest of the online bingo industry, 82% of their customers are female with an average age of 37.

BingoScotland.com spokesperson Dylan Schlosberg said: “Scottish players are scooping up to £15,000 a day. Currently 20 per cent of the Scottish adult population are regular bingo players and we envisage that five per cent will be playing online by the end of 2006.

“The arrival of BingoScotland.com has not stopped bingo lovers from continuing to visit traditional bingo halls but it does mean they can play at a time that suits them, and extend friendships without having to think about what to wear!”

Bingo Scotland is had been created by the founders of the UK’s leading online bingo website, Think Bingo and offers three virtual bingo halls with Scottish CMs where cards can be bought for between 10p and £1.
