A Cumbrian bingo hall is feeling the benefit of a six-figure cash injection which has yielded a sparkling new revamp for the popular club.
The Opera Bingo Club in Whitehaven experienced a £350,000 transformation – its first refurbishment since it opened 25 years ago – which saw its doors closed for ten days while radical changes were undergone.
An expanded bar, luxury seating, plasma TVs and a new smoke extraction system have all now been installed for the delectation of the club's patrons – two of whom scooped prizes totalling £182,000 last year.
It follows hot on the heels of a new bingo hall in Workington, opened last year by its owners, Graves Ltd.
Managing director Michael Graves told the News and Star: "We hope the newly-refurbished club will follow in the success of its sister club in Workington."
Online bingo can't promise you aesthetic revamps costing megabucks – but it can guarantee an easy and enjoyable way for you to have fun, and hopefully rake in some cash!
