UK ONLINE BINGO BOOM REPORTED
27/03/2008The UK online bingo industry is currently undergoing a "boom time", it has been claimed.
Competition between sites is leading many UK bingo operatives to invest in media campaigns, according to online bingo portal BingoPort.
A spokesperson for the site says that many of those surveyed are members of more than one online bingo community.
Managing director and co-founder Scott Logan adds: "What we have today is the big online bingo clubs - such as Foxy Bingo, Sun Bingo, Gala Bingo, Ladbrokes Bingo and the newly opened 888 Ladies - aggressively using media to acquire players."
Data from the company shows that the average daily number of players at UK bingo sites has increased by 19 per cent since September 2007.
Among the more obscure advertising schemes recently devised by Foxy Bingo is its Mystic Foxy Fortune Telling Emporium.
This is a service which can be supplied with information about a friend, with the intention of astounding them by apparently knowing their secrets.
