Online bingo is in rude health, according to figures announced at a recent seminar.

Netimperative claimed last week that lottery-style games – with bingo named in particular – are the world's most popular forms of online gambling and sit comfortably ahead of sites offering casino and bookmaker services.

The most globally-visited lottery website is the UK National Lottery page – though France has the highest number of online gamers per head and Spain has the fastest-growing market.

The archetypal online gamer is, according to the findings, a 35 year-old male taking part over a broadband connection.
