ONLINE BINGO UNDETERRED BY YOB ELEMENT
24/11/2005

A redoubtable group of bingo players will not let a gang of yobs come between it and a good eyes-down.

Members of Hednesford's Victoria Street bingo club are frequently intimidated and threatened by the young miscreants – even seeing their cars vandalised on occasion – but they are determined not to let the hooligans win out.

The club has borne a charmed life in recent times, handing out over half a million pounds in winnings between 2000 and 2004, and maintains that it is not going to turn into a hard luck story despite the frightening events which plague it.

Julie Taylor, the club's assistant manager, told the Express and Star: "One of our regulars who is 80 and disabled had her car window smashed in with a baseball bat on Monday of last week and that is the second time it has happened.

"But despite what has happened she was in again this Monday night. She is a very feisty lady, as many of them are, and are determined not to let these kids stop them."

That's the spirit. But if you want to find an even safer method of picking off those numbers, a game of online bingo should be relatively hazard-free.
