SISTERLY LOVE LEADS TO BINGO LUCK

A 71-year-old grandmother who travels from Sutton Coldfield to Telford every Sunday to visit her sister has struck it lucky at the town's local bingo club.

The grandmother, who did not wish to be named, went to the bingo hall in Southwater Square and saw her family fidelity pay dividends, the Shropshire Star reports.

She took the bingo jackpot of more than £124,000, before admitting her big win may have had something to do with fate as well.

"I nearly didn't go that particular Sunday because I was off on a Caribbean cruise on the Tuesday," she said.

"I thought I had too much to do, with packing and everything, but in the end I decided to go. It was obviously meant to be."

Of course, if she had indeed not made the trip to Telford, she could have tried her hand at online bingo instead, to see if her luck was truly in.
