BINGO GRAN NEVER SAYS NEVER
09/06/2008It was a case of "never say never again" for one UK bingo player recently, it has emerged.
The mother-of-three, who also has six grandchildren, saw her numbers come up on the national game.
Her victory came three years after a previous jackpot success - proving lightning can strike twice in bingo terms.
"I feel so, so lucky to have been in the right place at the right time – twice," she tells game operator National Bingo.
"After my first win, people used to ask why I was still playing bingo as they said I'd never win again."
She adds that the second win not only came, but that she had a "gut feeling" that it would do so before heading to the bingo club that night.
Her £38,000 win adds to the £102,000 she had previously scooped at the Walkers Club in Birmingham.
A further two £100,000 wins have previously been paid out in Birmingham, both at the Gala Bingo club, National Bingo figures show.
