PAY OUTS APLENTY AT GALA SURREY QUAY
17/06/2008The Gala Bingo club in Surrey Quay Leisure Park has proved to be a lucky site for a pair of UK bingo fans.
Firstly, a 49-year-old housewife from Lewisham, who has been playing bingo for more than 30 years took home the national prize of £8,390 while playing the National Bingo Afternoon Delight Game.
By completing a full house in 38 numbers, she also walked away with the regional and house prizes of £1,489 and £30 respectively.
Secondly, a 63-year-old retiree from Rotherhithe hit the jackpot when she called house in 43 numbers.
The lucky bingoer took home a total of £9,576, National Bingo reports.
She tells the game operator that the Gala club has been lucky for her in recent weeks.
"I've already won about £1,600 in total since April," the prize-winner notes.
Gala clubs have proved profitable for a number of winners in recent weeks, with the operator reporting that a man from Upper Norwood picked up a total of £410,000 after playing in Camberwell at the beginning of May.
