BRISTOL BINGO WINNER CRIES TEARS OF JOY
23/06/2008One bingo player in Bristol was left close to tears recently, National Bingo reports.
However, the unemployed 20-year-old was not rueing having just missed out on a full house at the Mecca Bingo club in Barton Hill.
Instead, her tears were of joy at securing £11,000 on the national game, the operating body reveals.
She told the organisation: "I just wanted to cry when I realised how much I'd won.
"I couldn't believe it and I just sat there in a daze."
The winner is not the only one due to benefit from the payout, as she is sticking to a promise she made.
Her sister, father and his friend are all to share in the prize and were on hand to congratulate her at the time of the victory.
While the win may be her biggest to date, it is not her first success, having scooped £500 just a fortnight ago.
As of November 2007, Bristol winners had earned more than £900,000 on the linked UK bingo jackpot game, according to figures from National Bingo.
