MEDWAY PLAYER SCOOPS UK BINGO JACKPOT
20/08/2008The UK bingo jackpot has seen more than £34,000 head the way of one Medway player, it has been revealed.
National Bingo reports that the 53-year-old woman is having a little trouble in coming to terms with the fact that she has just scooped a five-figure sum.
"It was a bit of a shock and it still hasn't sunk in yet because I'm not usually a very lucky person," she explains to the UK bingo operating authority.
She attends the Chatham Gala Bingo club once or twice a week - and, despite her claims of being unlucky, this is not her first success.
National Bingo reports that, four months ago, she claimed £1,200 while playing bingo at the same venue.
The win means players at the Gala Bingo hall have now shared in more than half a million pounds of UK bingo jackpots since August 2005, according to figures from the operating body.
