WEDDING PLANS FOR UK BINGO WINNER
27/08/2008The UK bingo jackpot is to help one Mecca Bingo member to pay for her wedding, it has been revealed.
Game operator National Bingo reveals Jayne Rose's plans to fund her marriage with the £17,000 UK bingo jackpot she recently won.
A holiday she already has booked is another likely destination for the money, with the remainder to be spent on home improvements.
However, first she has to get over the surprise of seeing her numbers come up - which could be no easy task.
Ms Rose tells National Bingo: "I couldn't believe it and I couldn't sign the papers after I had won because I was so shocked!"
While there was over £29,000 in the UK bingo jackpot on the night of her win, another player reached bingo in the same number of calls, leading to a two-way split.
Also sharing the UK bingo pot recently were two sisters in Worcester after one scooped £20,000 in the link game.
