SCUNTHORPE PLAYER SCOOPS GALA BINGO JACKPOT
22/10/2008One UK bingo player was in the money to the tune of nearly £200,000 after hitting the Gala Bingo High 5 jackpot, it has been revealed.
The lucky punter was Pamela Markham of Scunthorpe, who secured an exact figure of £194,188.
And each of the 73 other players shared in a 50 per cent stake of the national prize, netting more than £2,500 each.
Ms Markham says: "It's mind boggling to have won and it's hit home now that I have the cheque and have seen the figures.
"It's so nice that everyone else got some winnings too as we've all celebrated together."
Her victory was assured as she not only beat off competition from 157 Gala Bingo halls nationwide, but also reached a full house on number five.
Gala Bingo advises that visitors to the Scunthorpe venue can also make use of Gala Wizard, which allows access to both the main stage bingo games and also prize and party games through a single terminal.
