ONLINE AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The winners of the 2008 Online Bingo awards have recently been announced by WhichBingo.

According to WhichBingo, the awards "cut across the whole bingo spectrum" and give smaller sites the chance to compete with larger operations.

Voting in the awards took place last December.

There was no pre-selected list for the prizes, which meant that bingo fans could vote for any site in the UK or abroad.

Jackpotjoy scooped the award for UK bingo site of the year, with Bingo Playground victorious in the new site category.

Noel Hayden, chief executive officer of Jackpotjoy owner Gamesys, said: "WhichBingo Site of the Year 2008 - it's a fantastic achievement - I've got a brilliant group of people working for Jackpotjoy and the best chat hosts in the business. We are all delighted with this award."

Bingo Billy was awarded the International Online Bingo Site of the Year 2008.

The site offers a number of different rooms, including a Crazy Quarters Room and a Chocolate Room.
