ITV BINGO ADDS SOAP THEMED ROOMS

Online bingo site ITV Bingo has announced that two new rooms on its site are dedicated to two popular soaps on its associated TV channel.

According to the Press Association, the two rooms will be themed around Coronation Street and Emmerdale giving gamers the chance to shout less-traditional calls when they are successful in a game.

The source says that instead of the commonly used "two fat ladies" and "legs 11" calls, gamers will be able to use ones which incorporate events from the plots of the two shows.

These include "Betty's hot pot with wine/number nine", "Zoe's institutionalised/number 25" and "Trisha crushed by a chimney/number 53", says the Press Association.

William Van Rest, ITV Play controller, told the news provider: "When we designed these rooms we knew we were combining two of the nation's great loves, soaps and bingo, but we never imagined it would spark a change in the fundamentals of the game."
