GALA BINGO KICKS OFF NEW EVEREST GAME
03/09/2009Online bingo site Gala Bingo has revealed its latest bingo game, which is a fundraising promotion aimed at helping to raise cash for a group of brave employees.
The Everest game is set to raise money for a group of Gala Bingo workers who due to trek 75 miles, to a height of 2,700 metres, in aid of Sue Ryder Care, a serious illness charity.
Gala Bingo aims to give Sue Ryder Care as much as £1 million by 2010 through various initiatives and special games, such as the Everest promo.
In total, 24 Gala Bingo workers will be heading to the mountain to try to complete the challenge.
"By supporting Sue Ryder Care, people across the country help us make a real difference to the lives of thousands of people we care for each year," said Paul Woodward, chief executive at Sue Ryder Care.
He said that he is "delighted" that the Gala Bingo employees have put themselves forward for the Everest challenge.
