BINGOS BUYOUT ANNOUNCED

Interactive gaming company NetPlay has announced it is to buy Bingos.com for about £6.25 million.

The website operates in a number of European countries and may be recognisable to UK bingo fans as it appears in the country under the name of Bingos UK.

According to NetPlay, much of the money spent each month is paid back out in the form of prizes.

Figures from the firm show that the online bingo site currently pays up to £9.6 million each month from the £10 million paid into accounts by members.

This amounted to earnings over the past year of £145 million, of which more than £138 million was returned to players in the form of prizes, NetPlay adds.

Meanwhile, Bingos UK is gearing up to celebrate Easter this weekend with a special egg hunt due to take place at the online bingo site.

Players are told to watch for their two chosen numbers to be drawn, at which point they must shout "I found it!" to claim their reward.
