UK BINGO WINS GET A REACTION
31/03/2008Many UK bingo players could be expected to have quite a reaction to scooping the national jackpot.
Game operator National Bingo reveals that two recent winners were no exceptions - although they responded to the news quite differently.
One won £32,000 at the Borehamwood Gala Bingo club and was left stunned by the victory.
"Everyone in the club was clapping and saying 'well done' but I just sat there in a daze," she told the UK bingo operator.
Meanwhile, a £13,000 win at the Castle Club in Newport was met with a quite different reaction.
The 37-year-old punter who claimed the prize said: "I cried afterwards and couldn't stop shaking."
She added that her husband had to be persuaded by the assistant manager that she was telling the truth.
Her reaction was further enhanced by going "as white as a ghost" when the figure was announced, National Bingo notes.
