Gala Bingo has announced plans to focus on its recently launched High 5 game by dropping out of the national UK bingo link games.
The move comes in response to the desires of its players, Gala Bingo says, following the popularity of High 5 since its launch.
Simon Longbottom, managing director of Gala Bingo, says: "Gala High 5 has proved very popular, delivering better value for our customers and more opportunities to win.
"We are committed to providing the best service to our customers across our estate."
August 31st has been set as the date when the final UK bingo national games will be played in Gala Bingo venues across the country.
Before the decision was made, the proposal to withdraw was tested in clubs across the north-west, the organisation adds.
The national game's operating body, National Bingo, recently reported the tale of a 40-year-old Bristol woman who claimed £449,121 in the Platinum Jackpot play-off.
