A recent knit-a-thon hosted by Crown Bingo proved successful at raising funds for charity, it has emerged.
The marathon knitting session was held in order to benefit neonatal charity Bliss, which distributes knitted clothing to the families of premature babies.
Crown Bingo invited its online bingo players to contribute towards the initiative by knitting their own garments and sending them in.
Managing director Dan Smyth says: "The response to the knit-a-thon has been astounding.
"We're very proud to be able to help such a worthwhile cause and it is fantastic to see so many of our members getting involved."
The UK bingo operator has also announced that donations made in the past four months now total a four-figure sum.
Such an amount was reached by setting aside 50 per cent of prize pools in charity games to be donated to Bliss.
Crown Bingo is also giving away £300 in holiday vouchers over the course of June which it suggests could be enough to enjoy a European break during the Euro 2008 football championships.
