A man from Eastwood is celebrating a win of £62,000 after playing bingo only three times before.
Nathan Jenkins is planning a holiday overseas with his winnings, after proving that the fourth time can sometimes be a charm.
He played his first game of bingo at the Mecca Bingo club at Greyhound Way in Southend a year ago and then returned to the same club in recent weeks to pick up the national bingo game prize of £60,000, plus a number of smaller sums.
"I didn't quite believe I'd won it at first and it took a good few days for it to sink in. My girlfriend couldn't believe it either," he tells game operator National Bingo.
The 22-year-old adds that he will save the majority of the cash, but that a break overseas with his girlfriend is definitely on the cards.
"I don't know where we're going yet, but it will be somewhere nice abroad," Mr Jenkins explains.
Mr Jenkins is not the only younger bingoer to pick up a prize recently, with ThisIsHampshire.net reporting that a 21-year-old man from Basingstoke won £21,000 after playing bingo before a night out.
