While a six-figure bingo victory is likely to be welcomed by anyone playing the game, a recent win in Oxfordshire may be particularly significant for one woman.
A regular bingo player in Didcot has taken home some £390,000 on National Bingo's platinum jackpot play-off, just weeks before her 65th birthday.
Before coming into the big money, the most she had won in recent times was £200, despite joining the club more than 25 years ago and playing at least twice a week.
The win, which took place at the town's Coronet Club, comes after she has experienced a bout of ill health.
However, with her problems behind her, the woman - who wishes to be unnamed - is set to buy a new car, kitchen and garage alongside her husband of 42 years.
Club owner John Carpenter told the bingo game operator: "It couldn't have happened to a nicer person.
"And there was such an amazing buzz in the club when we announced how much she had won."
Earlier this week, it was revealed a pensioner scooped up some £10,000 in the Afternoon Delight UK bingo jackpot at the Gateshead Gala Bingo club recently.
