Although it started off as an enjoyable way of passing the time, bingo seen helped one woman score a sizeable win.
Following a three-figure UK bingo victory, a Lancashire pensioner is looking to take to the high seas.
Freda Anderson, a 74-year-old retired grocery shop owner from Blackburn, scooped up some £500 after completing a free bingo card offered in her local newspaper, the Lancashire Telegraph.
Ms Anderson told the publication: "I just filled out the card to pass the time. I was so excited when they told me how much I had won."
Now, she and her husband Terry, who is 75 years of age, are hoping to use the bingo winnings to go on a mini-cruise.
Last week, it was revealed that 44-year-old Tracey Firth scored an £18,000 win Buckingham Bingo hall in Bradford, a prize which will be shared between herself and four others.
