One UK bingo player was left with a sore head after celebrating winning the Platinum Jackpot play-off recently, it has emerged.
The entire £639,725 prize - including the £561,306 jackpot plus regional and club prizes - went to one 64-year-old woman in Exeter.
Her victory came at the city's Mecca Bingo club and represents the largest amount ever won at the venue.
The lucky winner told game operator National Bingo earlier this week: "I had two or three medicinal brandies and woke up with a sore head this morning.
"Thank God it was Bank Holiday Monday and I could sit at home and try to come to terms with it!"
Earlier this month, it was revealed that more than £410,000 had been claimed by a 58-year-old courier at the Camberwell Gala Bingo club.
The prize incorporated the £343,539 Platinum Jackpot and a sum of £63,640 up for grabs in the Saturday UK bingo national game.
