Macau Lights Up With Great Numbers

Macau gaming revenue up 62% in Q1. Gross gaming revenue rose by 62 percent in the first three months of the year compared to the same period in 2007 and reached 30.085 billion patacas (3.760 billion dollars), indicate official data released Thursday.

The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau affirmed that between January and March 2008 casino gaming recorded gross revenue of 29.823 billion patacas, while betting on horseracing, dogs, football, basketball and lotteries accounted for gross revenue of 262 million patacas.

Gross gaming revenue during the first three months of this year is almost equal to the revenue obtained in the entire year of 2003, when the figure was 30.315 billion patacas.

The strong growth in the gaming sector's gross revenue continues to be sustained by the intake from VIP baccarat (meant for major players), which contributed 20.801 billion patacas or 69.14 percent of total gross revenue.

At the end of the first quarter Macau's 29 casinos counted 4,311 tables and 13,522 slot machines in operation.

Stanley Ho's Sociedade de Jogos de Macau (SJM) continued to lead the market at the end of the first quarter with 30 percent of the revenues, followed by Las Vegas Sands, which owns the Venetian, Melco/PBL, Wynn Resorts, Galaxy and MGM.

IGT Numbers Crash

IGT returns as regards profits are down as slot machine and Casino Licensing drops.

International Game Technology announced earnings in the latest quarter decreased due to a slowing economy and lower demand for its high-tech slot machines.

Profits were slashed in half as net income in the quarter fell to $68 million, or 22 cents per share, down from $128.2 million, or 38 cents per share, in the same quarter of the previous year.

Back on Valentine's Day of this year, Jim Cramer, host of CNBC television show Mad Money and well-known stock handicapper, chose IGT as one of his 'stock picks of the day'.  Turns out to be a perfect example of why investors should never rely solely on the advice of a broker when choosing stocks.

International Game Technology (IGT) is a worldwide gaming outfit focusing in the design, manufacture and marketing of computerized gaming equipment, including slot machines, automated bingo services, and electronic card dealers, among other things.

Analysts have noted a weak economy is not the only thing to blame for the performance of this stock.

"The growth of casino expansion is a major factor in IGT's earnings.  If new casinos are not going up, then IGT is usually going down", said Kevin Heverty of Heverty Financial.

William Hill Bingo Offers New Fruit Machines

William Hill, one of the world's largest e-gaming companies, has today launched six new action-packed slot machine games at its online casino website, williamhillcasino.com.  We are guessing these new formats may soon appear on William Hill Bingo.

These new multiline video slots combine exciting arcade style video gameplay with the chance to win big cash jackpots and unique interactive bonus features.

The six games - Street Fighter, Fantasy Realm, Outta Space Adventure, Sunday Afternoon Classics, Roamin Gnome and Dads Day In - will appeal to a broad range of slot machine fans with their wide range of themes from classic Hollywood movies to streetfighting.

They all offer five-reel slot-machine gaming, with up to 30 paylines paying out as much as 6,000 times your line bet. And the company says the new games are among the most thrilling it has brought out for its customers.

Lester Fernandes, William Hill product manager for egaming, said, "We think our customers will love these six new games. They offer something for everyone".

"Video slots are massively popular with online casino players, and these are some of the most exciting around - with great, playable features.

"We're always trying to bring more exciting gaming content to the marketplace - and these six games fit our aim perfectly."

New players at the William Hill Casino can enjoy the games with the benefit of a 50 New Player Bonus, which is available to all new William Hill Casino customers.

US Bingo Suffering Due to Smoking Ban as Well

Banning smoking at charity bingo games may have health benefits, but it is proving harmful to earnings in the US market as well as the UK.

In report from the New York Times it is clear that its not just the UK bingo buisness which is cursing its luck as regards the smoking ban our friends across the pond are having the same issues with closures and business challanges.

I have put a summary of the article for our readers:

In Minnesota, which adopted a statewide ban on smoking in all indoor workplaces in October, revenue from all charity gambling dropped nearly 13 percent in the last quarter of 2007, compared to the same quarter the year before, according to state officials. More than half of the drop — the equivalent of about $100 million annually — was attributed to the new smoking law.

Charlie Lindstrom, who runs the bingo nights at an American Legion post, said some of his former customers now drove to casinos on Indian reservations, where they can puff away, or across the border where veteran organizations are exempt from that state’s smoking ban.

Mr. Lindstrom is not alone. Managers of charity bingo games in California, New Jersey, New York and Washington State also say their smoking bans have forced cutbacks in budgets and in their support for various causes.

Few believe they can cultivate new nonsmoking players. They say smoking goes with bingo like peanut butter with jelly. Last year, a bingo game produced $23,000 that supported a shelter for abused women, a drug awareness program and a camp for young cancer survivors. Now such funding is under threat.

Veterans’ organizations like the American Legion, fraternal groups like the Shrine and Moose clubs, local drum and bugle corps and churches have long depended on revenue from gambling.

Some advocates of smoking bans said the costs of smoking to the state in terms of public health and productivity greatly outweighed the losses to charity. Some argue that the revenues will return in over the long run. “Around the country,” said State Representative Thomas Huntley, Democrat of Duluth and a chief sponsor of Minnesota’s Freedom to Breathe Act, “whenever places have put in smoking bans, there is a six-month period where there is a drop in business in bars and restaurants, which is where this gambling takes place, and after that, it starts to rebound.” But bingo managers in states where bans on smoking have been in effect longer say nonsmokers cannot make up for the decline in revenues from smokers. Instead, they say, their industry has undergone a wave of forced consolidation.

When Washingtons ban on smoking took effect in 2005, Mr. Bock was able to partially enclose a porch where bingo players could still smoke, and he got it approved as a separate facility. “It cost me $8,000, but it protected my customer base,” he said. “Other games weren’t so lucky.”

Washington used to be home to 100 bingo halls that raised money for charity. Now there are fewer than 20.Bret Rios, director of operations for the Blue Devils, a nonprofit drum and bugle corps in Concord, Calif., says his organization, too, has felt the effects. “A lot of people who play bingo like to smoke,” Mr. Rios said

Bingo is the largest source of revenue for the Blue Devils, which operates musical groups that involve more than 500 children each year. In 2005, bingo provided $1.2 million for the organization’s activities, covering more than half its costs.

Mr. Rios said bingo revenues were down about $10,000 a month since Contra Costa County imposed more stringent restrictions on smoking in 2006. Attendance at the nightly games has fallen to about 225 on average, compared to 300 or more before the ban took effect.

The Blue Devils had spent roughly $70,000 to create a specially ventilated separate room for smoking bingo players, which the county ordered closed under its new regulations. The organization replaced it with a covered patio in its parking lot, but smokers are not happy with it, Mr. Rios said.

Ms. Aiello said friends who used to play at the Concord center now went to American Indian-owned casinos or bingo parlors in the adjacent county, which has less stringent smoking restrictions than Contra Costa.

Ms. Aiello and other smokers also spoke of tensions between smokers and nonsmokers. Some nonsmoking bingo players have complained that the smell of smoke wafts in from outside, and the Blue Devils group was recently forced to place notices at entrances, reminding smokers that the county forbid them to light up within 20 yards of doorways.

“Why do all the nonsmokers have all the rights and the smokers have none?” said Rhonda Convino, 37, who smokes but has remained loyal to the Blue Devils games.

Mr. Rios said he felt caught between a rock and a hard place.

“I’m not a smoker, and I’m not fond of smoking,” he said. “I wouldn’t go to a place that smelled of smoke and spend a lot of time there. But they’ve gone way too far — you know, they’re even thinking about passing a law that would make it illegal to smoke in your own home.”

Told about that idea, Representative Huntley of Minnesota chuckled. “I don’t think I’ll take that idea up,” he said. “I’m still pulling the knives out of my back from the last time.”

Follow Up On ITVbingo Story

Yesterday we wrote about ITVs recent partnership with PartyBingo yesterday, a little more research into the area has shown that this is not the first Bingo deal for ITV Bingo. Previously ITv launched four games with another partner Jackpotjoy; these games included I am a Celebrity Bingo in other words bingo based around the I am a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here franchise, Coronation Street Bingo, Emmerdale Bingo and ITV Bingo, all these games offered players the chance to play and win up to £30,000. At the time of the deal ITV claimed there was a strong demographic fit and entertainment association between bingo and its programming.  The games were promoted across ITV.com as well as the micro-sites dedicated to Coronation Street, Emmerdale and I’m a Celebrity, using editorial, banners and micro-games.

All these ITV Bingo games were designed and powered by jackpotjoy.com, and incorporated the network’s 650,000 players.  ITV players joined JackpotJoys partners Wanadoo (now Orange Bingo), ICP Media and GMTVBingo.

Michael Braga, representing jackpotjoy.com said: “We are seeing more and more “old” media brands approaching a “new” media brand such as jackpotjoy.com, looking for partnerships that offer benefits to both business and audience.”

ITV Bingo

ITV have gotten their feet into bingo with an intergated bingo partnership with PartyBingo.  The rummor is that Party Bingo paid a large fee for the privallage of an exclusive Casino and Bingo relationship with ITV.  Followin the rather negative PR from the premium rate line competitions its quite a bold move to come into ITV gambling as a business model but I guess time will tell. The Emerdale Bingo reskin is quite amusing though the streamed images on the home page must get annoying for regulars.

Mikes Bingo

MikesBingo.com has been launched with a TV advert targeting the Irish Bingo market.  Its an interesting service as it offers a live stream of a person calling the bingo numbers out but the web design on the site looks suspect and quite basic.  The fact that the site is served from Ascot Bingo Ventures Curacao NV rather than a UK white listed location such as Gibraltar or Alderney also sets alarm bells running for us.

Banned Gaming Adverts

Paddy Power, InterCasino breach ASA code. Paddy Power and InterCasino have become the first gaming companies to fall foul of ASA rules since televised advertisements for gambling products and services were made legal last year.

Online gambling provider InterCasino, whose series of four ads featured two people of restricted growth, dressed in various gambling-related costumes, with a voiceover commentary in mock Japanese game show style, were accused of appealing to children and young people.

Clearcast, the industry body which clears ads for transmission, maintained that the ads were not aimed at juveniles or adolescents or associated with youth culture.

But the ASA concluded that all four ads should not be shown again.

Meanwhile, bookmaker Paddy Power's ad, which featured a short man in the back of a stretch limousine, holding a glass of champagne and a cigar, flanked by two glamorous looking women with on-screen text stating: "Who says you can't make money being short?" was criticised for irresponsibly linking gambling to seduction, sexual success and enhanced attractiveness.

Although London Capital Group, Paddy Power's owner, maintained that the ad was a play on words, it has withdrawn the ad from all UK media outlets and was told by the ASA not to repeat its approach.

Peter Marcus, spokesman for InterCasino, said: "It's a shame that some people can't see humour when it's put in front of them. We'll continue, through advertising and other marketing channels, to try to entertain our customers in a way that our competitors don't. This is a very unusual and surprising ruling from the ASA given that it has not received any public complaints regarding the advertisements which have been on air since September 2007."

Asbo Excludes Bingo Hall

A CARLISLE man has been given an Asbo banning him from all pubs and clubs - except the bingo hall. Michael Dicker can still continue going to the bingo at Gala Bingo in Carlisle with his girlfriend Michael Dicker, 23, from Birdoswald Drive, he was given a special allowance to attend the Gala Bingo on Botchergate – a licensed premises – because he does not drink there.

City magistrates approved the exemption yesterday after hearing an application for an Asbo to keep Dicker from consuming alcohol, being under the influence of alcohol and entering any licensed premises.

They heard how he often goes to the bingo with his girlfriend and does not drink there.

Dicker previously admitted two counts of being drunk and disorderly and one charge of resisting a police officer.

Prosecutor Alan Lovett told the court that on March 14 a worker from Domino’s Pizza in London Road left work to find Dicker and another man leaning on his car. He refused to move and Dicker who was drinking from a can of beer, is said to have told the man: “I’ll go away if you give me a tenner.” Police were called and Dicker was arrested.

On March 20, he was again arrested at Walkabout bar in English Gate Plaza for being drunk and disorderly and violent with police officers.

Mr Lovett said:  “It is his behaviour on the streets that is a cause for concern.”

Mr Lovett suggested an Asbo banning Dicker from entering the city centre between 6pm and 6am to “protect people socialising in Carlisle from anti-social acts committed by Mr Dicker.”

Defence solicitor John Smith admitted that Dicker has a problem with drink and said he appealed to Pub Watch to ban him from certain pubs as he “believed this would help him behave”.

He said: “He wants an Asbo but he wants an Asbo on his terms. I have explained this is a matter for the magistrates. But he does go the bingo and wants to be able to continue going to the bingo.”

Magistrates warned Dicker that if he breaches his Asbo, which expires on April 21 2010, he could face prison

British Bingo Association Report

The British Bingo Association have said 45% of bingo players are under the age of 45 and other figures out have shown that 55,000 women under the age of 35 now play bingo online. The younger generation certainly seems to have taken to online bingo. Not only is it a bit of lighthearted fun, where they will have the chance of winning some amazing cash prizes, it is also a great way to interact with friends.

In some of the latest figures that have been released, show that more than 8.5 million people played bingo last year and 15% of them were younger players joining the game.

Online bingo brings you a great community to be a part of and unlike the land based version of the game you are able to chat as you play, as well as winning bingo points along the way, which gives players even more games of bingo for free.

Playing bingo seems to be what lots of ladies and men alike seem to enjoy. 888 Ladies Bingo also recently carried out their own survey on the subject, with findings showing that a percentage of the ladies from Leeds, would rather play bingo online than going out shopping on a Saturday.

The Bingo Industry is trying to come back against adversity, the smoking ban coupled with the double taxation they have to pay as hit them hard. We have seen many bingo halls closing down over the past year, with lots more of them still at serious risk from closure. The game of bingo has been around for many years, before all of us were even born, yet this great game still remains at the forefront of most towns and communities.

Whilst the land based bingo industry has been struggling somewhat, the online bingo industry has been seeing a massive boom, which looks like is set to continue as we are still seeing lots of new sites launching onto the internet every month. This all adds up for greater competition between online bingo sites, which relates to even better offers and promotions for the bingo players themselves, which is always a good thing to see.

The facilities are reported to include a warrant for RBS to subscribe for 10 per cent of its share capital at 20p per share at any time prior to April 2013.

UK ONLINE BINGO SITES - monitored, ranked and reviewed BingoPort.co.uk monitors and reviews UK Online Bingo sites they have a fairy comprehensive list of sites and reviews.  The BingoPort.com angle is to count how many players are in each room on all the Uk Online Bingo Halls.  So their list of information is quite valuable to anyone looking for heavily trafficed rooms.  Our view is that small is beautiful so we would advise players to look for rooms with no more than 30 player or else bingo becomes a lottery game.

Gala has the most winners...

The UK bingo site, Gala Bingo has declared that it has more winners than any other online bingo site. I’m guessing this has a little something to do with the fixed 50p winnings on the 1tg games – basically, you get 50p if the jackpot has been won and you had one to go…

Myspace and FaceBook Bingo Generation

We at onlinebingo.co.uk believe the recent rise in popularity for bingo is due to a desire for more community focused and interactive experiences online with the advent of sites like Facebook and Myspace users are actively seeking new ways of interacting online and bingo is the original community concept.

This view is backed up by reserach from BingoPort a UK information site focusing on UK bingo is  reporting online bingo traffic data shows an increase of 19% in the number of daily players taking part in online bingo games.

The increase is based on the number of players using online bingo since September. Scott Logan, claims online bingo operators such as Foxy Bingo, Ladbrokes Bingo and 888 Ladies Bingo are taking the opportunity to "aggressively using media to acquire players in order to gain a foothold in the growing marketplace."  This has nothing to do with the recent gaming legislation however as Bingo has always been allowed to advertise on TV even before the new rules.

Bingo Courtroom Battle

Linda Kenny, 53, and Doreen Thomas, 57, are suing Edna Sexton, 59, for a share of her win at Buckingham Bingo Palace in Hunts Cross, Liverpool.

The pair claim their sister reneged on an oral agreement they reached in 2005 to split any winnings.

Mrs Kenny and Mrs Thomas are suing Mrs Sexton for £16,666 each, plus interest, at Chester County Court.

Mrs Sexton claims they had made a variation on the agreement in October 2006, deciding that any payment over £1,000 did not need to be shared.

Mrs Kenny told the court that the big win happened on the National Game during a family outing to Buckingham Bingo.

"I actually bought Edna's National Game ticket for her because she was late arriving," she told the court. You trust each other as a sister. Until this win we stuck together.

All three sisters were "overwhelmed and completely excited" by the win, Mrs Kenny told the court.

When told she had won, Mrs Sexton said she would put £10,000 in the bank and then go on a shopping spree with the rest, Mrs Kenny told the court.

It was later that evening that Mrs Sexton changed her mind about sharing the win, Mrs Kenny said.

"She was saying: 'There's no reason that I'd share with you but I will give you £10,000 as a gift because you are my sister.'"

The family rift later developed and the sisters decided to start court proceedings.  Mrs Kenny told the court the sisters had played bingo together about 50 times at various venues, and had two previous £1,000 wins - which were shared.

She said: "We always shared. We have never disagreed before until this £50,000 win. It was always done equally, none of us lost out.

"We didn't ever think it would come to this because we did not think anyone would renege on it."

New Think Bingo TV ad

The new add for Uk bingo site, Think Bingo is a vast improvement and I'd be very surprised to see anything floating in a jacuzzi, even if it was only a bingo ball LOL!

The music is quite addictive too and I hear they are upping their free offer from a fiver to a tenner.

So not bad all in all but I’m still a die-hard fan of the Foxy ads.

Wink bingo goes live

Another site hits Uk Bingo today in the form of Wink Bingo. It runs on the same software as Foxy Bingo and also has a free £10 try-before-you-buy bonus incentive. The layout is the same as foxy and it has the same slot games that other sites offer.

Unlike KissMyBingo, Wink is a stand-alone site, meaning its prizes are only up for grabs to its members.

On the down side, being a new site, Wink is a bit lacking in the online community department. They don’t offer the kind of forum that sites like Foxy have but hopefully it will learn from the big players in the industry as it becomes more established…

888Ladies Signs Vic Reeves as Bingo Celeb

The new face of 888Ladies.com has been revealed and it’s UK comedian, Vic Reeeves. A rather bizarre choice if you ask me, when you consider the likes of other UK bingo hosts such as Katie Price, Sharon Osbourne and Kery. Even Bet Fred's its a Knock out would seem a better man for the job, lol!

Online bingo bonus

This is your all-in-one, comprehensive, no-nonsense guide to the complicated world of online bingo bonuses. For those who don’t know what I am talking about, lol, here is a quick definition as per Webster’s dictionary:

Bonus – pronounced (bō-nəs), Noun. Latin, literally, good -- more at bounty. Something in addition to what is expected or strictly due

Ps: It’s a term that has been around since 1773!

The Welcome Bonus

The best kind of bonus – free money to try out the site. The amount you get will vary from site to site, some don’t offer it at all.

The Deposit Bonus

Almost all sites out there give you a matched bonus. This is usually higher on your first deposit and lower on your deposits thereafter. Sometimes they will even match your first deposit up to 100%. Of course this varies from site to site so read the small print. Also keep in mind that there are usually wagering requirements – in some cases these can be almost as high as the bonus offer.

Refer a friend

Never underestimate the power of word of mouth. Online bingo sites know this, so they offer you an incentive to get your mates to join. Basically, refer a friend, if they join and deposit you will either get a once off bonus or a once off bonus plus a percentage of the referred persons deposits for a certain period of time. This can be really worth looking into.

Chat games

It’s easy and fun. All you need to do is be part on a chat game in one of the chat rooms and you can score all kinds of bonuses from loyalty points to giveaways.

Loyalty points:

The best kind of bonus of all – get rewarded for playing, for chatting, for being part of the online bingo community! This varies from site to site and there will be numerous ways to collect

£10 Free @ 32RedBingo

In the wake of the recent launch of 32Red plc’s mobile casino last month comes the announcement of a new online product - 32RebBingo, which is powered by Microgaming. The company is poised to capture a share of the growing UK online bingo market.

So what is on offer at this new bingo site? The ever popular 90 ball bingo, an online chat facility, chat games, and casino games on the side for entertainment while you bingo. Players may also be wondering what rewards schemes are on offer and it seems that the site will be as competitive as any other by way of bingo promotions, monthly offers and match bonuses connected to player deposits.

Mark Quayle, 32Red.co.uk Marketing Manager said: "We are conscious that Bingo is a competitive market place, but we're confident that our quality software, a free £10 no deposit bingo bonus and a bonus every time a player deposits, 32Red Bingo will be an instant hit with new and experienced online bingo players."

Ed Ware, 32Red's CEO said that the launch of both online bingo and the mobile casino has been "a great way to start 2008 and marks the beginning of many exciting new ventures for 32Red."

Take A Break Bingo Free Daily Scratchcard

Join Take A Break's Bingo and receive a warm welcome to Take A Break Bingo co uk. They have great games and lots of special offers although they only offer one bingo lounge.  The best part of all is their daily  Take A Break free scratch card which gives you the ability to play a free card normally worth 25p.

To take advantage of this go to the Take A Break Bingo site and click 'Play Bingo'. Enter your user name and password and you are A for away!

The bingo scratch card is available daily, 24 hours from the time you  played your previous card (what they don't tell you is that its only free if you have made a deposit so its a con really lol).

There is also a Take A Break Big One but if you ask me your chances of being hit by lightening are greater than hitting  this!

So the Take A Break Bingo lounge is not one for me.

Bingo Lotto launches 29th February 2008

A bit like online bingo but from the comfort of your couch! Bingo Lotto, a new show on Virgin 1 and Challenge is set to launch on the 29th of Feb 2007.

The odds are 1 in 10 – quite good really.

How it works:

Purchase a Lottery Gamecard from any retailer where you see the BingoLotto logo or PayPoint logo, turn your tv on on Friday 29th Feb at 7pm and switch  to Virgin1 (Freeview channel 20, Sky channel 121 or Virgin Media channel 122) or Challenge (Sky channel 125, Virgin Media channel 152) then play at home by marking the numbers called off on your Lottery Gamecard.

Cards cost £2 and you stand a chance of  either winning at home or of taking part in the next show in the studio for thousands of pounds.

The game started in Sweden back in the 1990's as a game show, with an average of 3 million game cards being sold weekly. To date the game has generated just under £1 billion in charitable donations in Sweden.

The show will be hosted by Joe Pasquale and Suzanne Shaw.

888 Ladies TV Advert £10 Free

Different strokes for different folks. The online bingo world is never short of competition or variation. Take 888 Ladies and Foxy Bingo for example. Both target a predominantly female audience and both offer a £10 free reg bonus, but the two are worlds apart in look and feel and this is no more evident than in their TV adverts. The recent 888 Ladies ad sees Vic Reeves dressed up as a lady… In contrast Katie Price has become the face of Foxy.

Why did Love It magazine need their own UK bingo site when they could have just used The Sun? They are both powered by Jackpotjoy and both originate from the same company anyway?

BingoLotto

BingoLotto is the brand new Friday night experience on Virgin1 and Challenge.

Hosted by Joe Pasquale and the divine Suzanne Shaw, BingoLotto is the new entertainment phenomenon that loves people to play along at home, with a greater than 1 in 10 chance to win.

By buying a Lottery Gamecard you get the chance to play BingoLotto for top prizes and maybe even join us in the studio to compete for the top prize of up to £100,000 in cash.

Mr Bing was born at 7 minutes past 7 on the 07/07/77 weighing 7lbs and 7 ounces.

Everyone knew he was special when his infectious giggling had the entire hospital in stitches. From that moment he was destined for great things.

Mr Bing left school after accidentally passing all of his exams on his first day and his career path included model, test driver, footballer, astronaut and stuntman. He finally landed his dream job with the BingoLotto team and he devotes his time equally between entertaining the nation and mime lessons.

SkyBingo

Sky Bingo has launched not Bingo Sky currently featured on our homepage but the guys who bring us the TV stations and the irritiating Footie coverage. Sky Bingo is on VirtueFusion Software and is a nice take on the category what will be truly exciting though is if they ever get it on the Telly as an interactive format a bit like BingoLotto which is currently on Challange TV and Virgin1.

Bingo.Net

A lot of players ask us to provide a bit of history relating to our the whole bingo net thing got started. We have been running bingo sites and reviews for over six years but the whole thing really kicked off in the US with a campany called Parlay (previously known as dot com entertainment).  They were one of the first ever bingo software suppliers and they streted off in the US market as they were a Canadian business.  Parlay have not been as successful in the UK with major brands such as ThinkBingo.com, GalaBingo.com, MeccaBingo.com and FoxyBingo.com chosing different software suppliers with more up to date features.

TheSunBingo is an intresting new site they have a variety of rooms but do not offer side games and they have plenty of TV advertsing and in paper promotional activty to back it up.  We would say on the site its a good place to try out bingo but not a keeper.

PickMeUpBingo

Pick Me Up is the womans weekly magazine which has histroically set the pace in the Real Life sector.

It always gives me a smile, and takes you to a place where it is fun to be.

Upbeat, vibrant and fun, it’s an intense package of the best real life stories and puzzles.

The intrigue of real people's lives is Pick Me Ups heartbeat. With its big heart and fresh look Pick Me Up claims to have more real life than any other magazine.

And you guessed it they just launched a bingo site which though slightly lacking in originality as an idea a) lots of other Real Life Mags also have bingo b) Its a skin of the JAckpotjoy.com website.  It is still good to see big media owners starting to tune into bingo as a pass time.

News Of the World Bingo have gone Bingo crazy this week with a new offer of £5 Free this is the first time that TheNewsOfTheWorldBingo Site has gone into no deposit cash match territiory.  They do not ask you for any verification upfront for the offer so they may be having a few problems with fraudulent players and I hear the rooms are ram packed so perhaps not the most fun bingo site to play on.

Getting chatty at Virgin Bingo

I just joined Virgin Bingo after swearing that I would never play online bingo as I prefer the clubs. I must say it’s almost as good as the real thing and the chat games are as much as the bingo games. I’m doing pretty well on my bingo points too!

What to do with winnings?

It seems the first thing people do when they win big at bingo is go on holiday. I if I won really big playing online bingo the first thing I would do is go on a major shopping spree. Hmm maybe I could combine that with a holiday? After all, 5TH avenue is a reasonable shopping destination ;)
