British Bingo Association Report
The British Bingo Association have said 45% of bingo players are under the age of 45 and other figures out have shown that 55,000 women under the age of 35 now play bingo online. The younger generation certainly seems to have taken to online bingo. Not only is it a bit of lighthearted fun, where they will have the chance of winning some amazing cash prizes, it is also a great way to interact with friends.
In some of the latest figures that have been released, show that more than 8.5 million people played bingo last year and 15% of them were younger players joining the game.
Online bingo brings you a great community to be a part of and unlike the land based version of the game you are able to chat as you play, as well as winning bingo points along the way, which gives players even more games of bingo for free.
Playing bingo seems to be what lots of ladies and men alike seem to enjoy. 888 Ladies Bingo also recently carried out their own survey on the subject, with findings showing that a percentage of the ladies from Leeds, would rather play bingo online than going out shopping on a Saturday.
The Bingo Industry is trying to come back against adversity, the smoking ban coupled with the double taxation they have to pay as hit them hard. We have seen many bingo halls closing down over the past year, with lots more of them still at serious risk from closure. The game of bingo has been around for many years, before all of us were even born, yet this great game still remains at the forefront of most towns and communities.
Whilst the land based bingo industry has been struggling somewhat, the online bingo industry has been seeing a massive boom, which looks like is set to continue as we are still seeing lots of new sites launching onto the internet every month. This all adds up for greater competition between online bingo sites, which relates to even better offers and promotions for the bingo players themselves, which is always a good thing to see.
