Thanks to your help we managed to raise £343.53 for women in Tanzania!
It was truely an experience to join the "roomies" on their bingo charity night!
A big thank you from the betterplace team to all the bingo players who generously shared their winnings by donating to our featured project of the night! betterplace.org is an online donation platform, which connects projects in need with those who wish to give.
Last night's donations will go to a community of women living off the coast of Tanzania. Together they have formed a cooperative and are wishing to buy a boat, so that they can transport their caught fish to the big markets and thereby negotiate a better price. This helps them to cut out the middlemen who bargain down their prices. bingo.co.uk players have brought these women a step closer to making their dreams a reality, and having the possibility to improve their lives and that of their families, and giving them the independence to achieve this goal.
